My name is Caroline Bronte and I am an experienced therapist, life coach and counsellor who specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in Burnham. CBT is perhaps the most goal-orientated form of talk therapy. In the more 20 years, I have been working as a therapist, I have worked with many people from a wide variety of backgrounds, who are dealing with issues that range from the relatively mild to those that are more serious. I believe that CB can help my clients to rationalise their detrimental behavioural patterns and challenges.
As well as my extensive knowledge of counselling and psychology; I am also trained in art therapy, life coaching and NLP. After you have had an initial call and 30-minute assessment session, I will help you to receive the type of therapy that would benefit you the most.

During an initial 30-minute assessment session, I can help to recommend further CBT sessions that are fully tailored to your needs. These CBT sessions can be in the form of a short series of sessions or something more long-term. From the outset, we will look at your goals and aims and throughout the process, we will discuss your progress. Small changes to your thought patterns can actually make a big difference and could stay with you for the rest of your life. In these sessions, I can help you to find better ways to cope with your problems and issues by teaching and helping you to apply exercises. You can have a better life by breaking free of negative thought and behavioural patterns, by continuing to apply the exercises and tips you learn in a way that is easy to understand.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and The Cognitive Triad
A standard model in CBT is what is known as the Cognitive Triad, comprising of behaviour, thoughts and feelings. When you understand how these are related, you will find it easier to deal with challenging parts of your life. I work with my clients in Burnham to fully understand and identify how patterns of behaviour, thoughts and feelings are interconnected to make it easier to deal with life’s issues.
How Does CBT in Burnham Differ From Other Therapies?
The championing of CBT therapy and its ability to help those in need quickly and effectively makes it a fantastic route of supporting treatment when required. The exercises learned in CBT sessions are designed to be applied to the clients’ present, real-life problems. Once these are recognised, ways to improve your state of mind on a daily basis are practised and repeated to help break the cycles of behaviour less helpful to you.
Clients are offered the chance to try written exercises at home, between their sessions to solidify their learning.3 CBT therapists encourage their clients to spend as much time applying new ways of thinking in their time away from sessions.
